A safe space that welcomes all aspects of your life and humanness.

My Therapeutic Approach

RELATIONAL

Often, the issue we seek to heal took place in the context of relationship.

Our therapeutic relationship will serve as a way to explore these patterns and adaptations to support you in fostering the connection with yourself and the connection you desire with others.

Growth occurs when we feel supported, safe, and affirmed to step outside of our comfort zone. I will provide unconditional positive regard and safety so you can experience growth. I welcome you to bring all aspects of your life and humanness into therapy.

EMOTION-FOCUSED

Many of the people who come to me are constantly tending to the people and things around them. They may have become less attunement to their own needs and desires.

Our sessions will support you in learning to attune and be with emotions, experiences, and felt senses that arise as we move through life. We learn how to be with the emotions and body sensations in a gentle and kind way.

When we learn how to be with ourselves, we can get a lot of clarity around what we need, want, and desire.

INCLUSIVE

I strive to create a space that is inclusive and welcoming for all people. My job is to meet people where you are at, and work with what you bring into session. All of you is welcome in the therapeutic space. All backgrounds, races, religions, genders, sexualities are welcome in this space.

While I will never bring my personal politics first into our session, if you have questions or desire to check in with me first to ensure your feeling of safety, please schedule a free twenty-minute consultation with me.

Foster the relationships you desire.

Individuals are influenced by relationships, institutions, and the systems they interact with. Understanding patterns and adaptations that may have served you in the past is the key to creating the connections you desire and deserve.

  • While we set aside the time to meet for therapy, life happens and things come up. I encourage clients to communicate changes as soon as possible.

  • I feel so fortunate to do this work! To be with another human is such a beautiful experience. Outside of therapy I love to spend time with my partner. I am an aunt and adore my nieces. I cherish the time I spend outdoors. Hiking and skiing (alpine and cross country) are my two favorite activities. My favorite tree is a red pine. I love seeing pine trees in winter. The green amongst the otherwise brown and grey landscape is stunning. In a way, it is their time to shine! I do my best to bring the greenery indoors and spend time propagating my plants. I enjoy reading-all types of books. My favorite book is The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of The Oxford English Dictionary. So good! I love documentaries and watching a good movie. Breaking Bad and Parks and Rec are shows I can watch on repeat.
